RECOMMENDED AIRPORTS: MALPENSA airport (halfway between Stresa and Milan) LINATE airport (close to Milan) ORIO AL SERIO (Bergamo) airport (45 minutes from Milan)	GROUND TRANSPORTATION: Train Stresa lies on international European Railway lines, so it can be reached by train from Switzerland, Germany and France. For the train visit timetable :  Car Stresa can be easily reached by highways from Switzerland, Germany and France. The exit on the highway A26 is at Carpugnino-Stresa.
From Malpensa Airport: ALIBUS Service A daily bus service called Alibus Service, connects the Airport to Stresa (and vice versa) during the high tourist season. Alibus Service has to be booked by phone the day before arrival in Italy, within 12 a.m. local time (for arrival on Monday, book the service within Saturday 12 a.m.). For ALIBUS information and reservations:  info[at]safduemila.com  (S.A.F. +39 0323 552172) Departure from Terminal 1 - Exit 4, Bus stop 22 Time table (all days):  8.00 - 10.00 - 12.00 - 15.00 - 17.00 - 20.00 - 21.00. Trip time to Stresa: one hour (€ 6,50; ticket on the board). Taxi A taxi service from the airport to Stresa is available.  Trip time: 40 minutes (about 90-100 €). Through Milano (two options) - Malpensa Express Train to Cadorna Station (last stop); then by subway “Green line” (direction Cologno-Gessate) get off at Central Station. - Shuttle Bus to Central Station, last stop. From Central Station frequent train service guarantees connections to Stresa (about one hour trip). The Stresa Station is located in Via Carducci, five-minute walk from the Hotel “La Palma”.	From Linate Airport: Bus Service Linate airport is connected to Central Station in Milan by bus service operated by ATM (city transport).  Taxi Taxis are also available: fare about 25 €.  From Central Station frequent train service guarantees connections to Stresa (about one hour trip time) The Stresa Station is located in Via Carducci, five-minute walk from the Hotel “La Palma”. From Orio al Serio Airport: Bus Service The airport is connected to Central Station in Milan by bus service operated by Autostradale and by Orio Shuttle. From Central Station frequent train service guarantees connections to Stresa (about one hour trip time). The Stresa Station is located in Via Carducci, five-minute walk from the Hotel “La Palma”.
